"British authorities suggested he be tried in Morocco instead"....I'm guessing it wasn't a particularly mild suggestion.

No he wouldn't. He might sell well in England which he isn't going back to for awhile if ever for obvious reasons, he couldn't even get a visa to America which is the mma hub of the world and this was before he robbed the bank. The UFC doesn't need Lee Murray to sell in England, they already do well there. People on Sherdog think that just because someone is popular on a message board they are popular in "mainstream media". They aren't.
