Thanks for making this thread, I always wondered about MMA in S. Korea. I loved living there for 2 years and would love to go back some time.

Gimme 5

I try to catch Gimme 5 on the Fight Network whenever I can. Some really entertaining fights.

Hong man Choi really should have been cleared to fight Lesner.

He would've put up a better fight and could've won.

KDH is the most frustrating guy I have ever boxed, wrestled, or jiu-jitsued with. He will not let you impose your pace. He is seriously hard to take down and lives all up in the ropes. He's got serious tools. Somebody has to give him a shot. The Japanese suck IMO. They put people against their Champs in non-title fights, their champs lose, then they won't give some people the title shots they deserve. Frustrating.

Choi should not fight. He has a serious medical condition. I wouldn't doubt it if he needs some pharmaceutical supplements to keep his body from falling apart. He will look like Giant Silva one day. These guys have the same condition that the "world's tallest....." have. Tumor on the petuitary. Not nearly within the range of normal.

Only slightly related to the topic: has anybody trained with Team Tackle before? I begin with them on Monday but am curious how they rate amongst the other mma gyms.

Fedor has a huge following in Korea.I was reading in a magazine how when he came to help prmote Sambo and the M1 Korea event, they hired bodyguards for him, because he was mobbed everywhere he went.
Its too bad DSE didn't do the rumored PRIDE show in South Korea. Maybe Zuffa will bring PRIDE there if they ever get the situation in Japan straightened out. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

top-notch. real MMA training. If you are working out in the afternoon with the sunsoos, then you are in for some hard training. Give 'em hell.
