Fozzy are you talking about this article
http://www.smh.com.au/news/sport/cag...760663853.html

I read it and its not that bad.... its not great but its a far cry from the rubbish that has recently been printed in the papers and the article mentions safety and MMA's low injury rate, and its finally in the sports section!

I havent been impressed by the Aussie boys lately. It seems they lack fire when put in the big shows and cant quite pull the trigger.

If they forgot about that stupid cage and put the fights in a ring they would not see half the problems they get from the media

Just a heads up for anyone that doesn't know yet and is interested, Daniel Lima has a fight coming up in Shooto, on the 3/16 Gig Central show, against Tetsu Suzuki. It should be a nice fight, and a win for Lima.

Not really when you consider Aussie mma is still probably 4-5 years behind the big name contries(US/Japan/Brazil ect) with the lack of competition and shows here and only a handfull of decent training camps, Australian guys are doing quite well on the world mma stage.

Apologies if this has already been posted. I did a quick search and couldn't find any others.

Even though the article isn't great, at least the sport is now being referred to as 'MMA' instead of 'Cage Fighting'. The only reference to 'Cage Fighting' is the title of the article.
