yo foz,

that sucks, we used to have a similar situation at five rings although not as bad... The kb'ers would train before us, so we'd have to clean the mats before training or roll in their sweat and dirt from their feet, plus there was bags hung everywhere. One day i rock up and theres a bloody MT ring in the gym , taking up half the mats.
Pretty soon after that Daniel took over the building next door, fitted it out with mirrors and mats etc so now we have our own mats, probably about 5mx12m and daniel keeps them really really clean its way better.
Only downside was with brand new mats, until they wear in, you get hell blisters from dragging your foor when you shoot doubles

man I'd happily clean the mats before using them if they'd give us another time slot but he wont. funny thing is they brought the mats in the first place for the grapplers. we were the ones always cleaning them because we were the ones using them, now all has gone to shit.

I wear wrestling shoes so no blister for me :p

I didnt attend WR8 so i can't comment and havnt seen any official results anywhere but quite a few threads discussing hte event are here:

http://www.infinitemma.com/theforum/...board,1.0.html

Spartan was average last night but after a massive lay off its a step back and hopefully hey can get back to their glory days. Have to congratulate team mate Ryan Mortimer on a great win against Shane Hensley. Looking at the two before the fight, you would think that Shane was going to demolish the young Ryan, but Ryan fought a great great fight and came out victorious via decision.

Stu Ashby defeated Peter Davis in another war. Peter Davis was fairly bloody after the first round, but managed to last to the decision to win via Split Decision. Stu's takedowns and ground and pound looked great. Peter Davis was striking off his back and landed quite a few.

John Brown vs. Peter Hickmott was a bit dissapointing. i understand John took the fight on short notice and am looking forward to seeing him fight with more preparation. John verbally submitted after taking a few strikes in the first round.

At the moment UFC is only shown to residential customers and no deal is in place to show UFC at pubs and clubs.
