Make sure to keep ALL documentas and certificates from TAFE when you start uni because you can also apply for credit. I think i ended up doing about 4 or 5 subjects less than most people at uni because my tafe courses were similar.

Zviggy, well brisbane probably does have equally good training to the goldy, more variety i guess, but i'm biased cos i train down here. Five rings is pretty sweet though... carnage for MT and Daniel Lima, Marcio Bittencourt and Jason Wildchild all teach BJJ/MMA. Plus Hector Lombard trains here now too, so i cant think of anywhere up there with BETTER training , maybe equal but not better. And its really well priced.AND it on the goldy, not in brissy. sorry you might like it there, but i cant stand it.... having moved from darwin myself i think foz will like the GC better. but hey we're so close you can't go wrong. most places are a step up from the ol darwaroo.

thanks for the responses guys, I know its offtopic but I appreciate it.
I just found out my best friend's bf in QLD did a course called "Adult Tertiary Preperation" at TAFE, which will essentially get me a OP score to get into University, so I will look into that. It's a 1 year course, so it would equate to doing a year of something else like Zviggy suggested.
Either way it looks like I will be rehabbing for another 3 months, then working for the rest of next year and moving to QLD to live in a garage at my sisters place. Oh joy

lol. but atleast theres a solid game plan on the table and I know where I am going now. so im happy.
alphamale - I want to study a batchelor of japanese / bathchelor of asian studies with focus on japanese (since they dropped the BA of Japanese from the list this year), I studied it for a few years in HS, but they dropped it there too and theres nowhere at a good lvl for me to learn it in Darwin, and NTU does not have any languages other than Greek and Indo.
So looks like i'm set, thanks for the responses guys.
ps: i'd have to go to Uni/TAFE in brisbane, as the place i'd be living is there, but the Gold Coast sounds uber for training, either way its a step up from darwin, so I cannot complain.
