I'm flying up to Brisbane for work this weekend, but I need something to do for Saturday night.
Any of you Brisbanites have any tips on whats happening this weekend? Or even some good club recommendations will do.
I was hoping the Broncos were playing at home so I could check out Suncorp, but they're playing down Melbourne so that ain't gonna happen.

You have to go to the valley (Fortitude Valley) if you want good clubs. Just get on any train that's heading north and get off at Brunswick street - It's the station after Central. The best ones are The Family, Monastery, GPO and the met. Monastery will cost you 10 bucks to get in, family 20 and i think GPO and the met are 20 as well - I've never been to either of these two clubs, i always get rejected for too hammered. If you're a stingy c()nt then you can always try Birdies, which is free - probably the best free club in the valley. There's also the Mustang and ....there's another one down the road from Mustang (well actually there's several but this is a good one) but i can't remember what it's called...but it's free as well...There's loads more clubs in the valley but these are the best ones. If you want to stay in the city than the only two i recommend are Porto and Fridays. I havn't really been clubbing that much in the city but Porto and Fridays are the best ones i've been, or the vic isn't bad either... __________________

Didn't see the fight but i'm glad he won. I always thought he was the best fighter on the show. __________________

Thanks for the tips, I went to the Valley as you suggested...I can't remember the names of the 2 places I went to but I had a fucking huge night.
Also, I stayed down Surfer's last night and at the Hotel I was staying at their was a work function going on in the conference room and Daniel Lima was working security. I had a chat to him and he said he has been recovering from a back injury and also a leg injury but will be back fighting again in July. Super nice guy, and he was quite chuffed that I recognised him. __________________
