Mark Hunt vs. Bob Sapp?

A few weeks ago, someone posted that Mark Hunt and Bob Sapp were going to square off either in Canada or Austrailia. It was unclear as to whether it would be an MMA match, or a K-1 style kick boxing match.

Anyone hear anything more about this? Or was this a rumor?

Sapp himself told someone from The Fight Network that the match was being talked about as a headliner for a Canadian card featuring a lot of heavyweights and superheavyweights. He was saying that "several bodies" were hoping to collaborate to put the show on... but nothing else has surfaced since so it might just be another half-baked MMA show that will never happen, which is ironic since Sapp mentioned it at the venue where that GFC show got cancelled recently.

The only other piece of info to come out was that Gilbert Yvel said they were trying to put together a fight with him and Fedor Emelianenko in October in Canada... whether either tentative plan will pan out, and if they are related is unknown.

Hopefully Sapp was smart & pulled out/didn't take the fight.

EliteXC is trying to pull it off. I don't know if it's in assossciation with any other MMA event, but they're part of it.

that would probably be bad for Sapp....ecspecially with how his last few fights have gone....

but I guess when you are that big and powerful, you could connect with a big shot and put hte opponent out...(then again its hunt we are talking about)
