LoL Royce made $300k, Sakurabab made $30k

Doesn't that seem a little schewed to you? MMAWeekly has the listing up today, here they are:

Main Event Fighters

-Brock Lesnar: $500,000 (defeated Min Soo Kim; no win bonus)

-Min Soo Kim: $30,000 (lost to Brock Lesnar)

Main Card Fighters

-Royce Gracie: $300,000 (defeated Kazushi Sakuraba; no win bonus)

-Johnnie Morton: $100,000 (lost to Bernard Ackah; purse is being withheld for the time being due to refusal to take drug test)

-Melvin Manhoef: $50,000 (lost to Dong Sik Yoon)

-Jonathan Wiezorek: $40,000 (defeated Tim Persey; includes $25,000 win bonus)

-Kazushi Sakuraba: $30,000 (lost to Royce Gracie)

-"Mighty" Mo Siliga: $30,000 (defeated Ruben Villareal; no win bonus)

-Ruben Villareal: $30,000 (lost to "Mighty" Mo Siliga)

-Jake Shields: $24,000 (defeated Ido Pariente; includes $12,000 win bonus)

-Dong Sik Yoon: $20,000 (defeated Melvin Manhoef; no win bonus)

-Tim Persey: $20,000 (lost to Jonathan Wiezorek)

-Bernard Ackah: $5,000 (defeated Johnnie Morton; no win bonus)

-Ido Pariente: $2,500 (lost to Jake Shields)

Some good pay, some not do good.

Is that even real?
That sounds wrong for sure. As if Brock makes more than legends. And as if Saku makes that little.

i don't believe it. k-1 probably paid him 30k so he wouldn't get taxed as much. i bet he will get the rest of his money in japan. k-1 has done this before. remember sakuraba left pride for k-1 because of the money. i bet sak gets paid over 500k for each fight.

If this is true then K-1 paid money for mostly B-C level fighters. They really need to go back to the drawing board.

i was in disbelief when i first read the pay days.

its funny how "well taken care of" UFC fighters are. K-1 made money off that tragedy of an event and still could afford to give the fighters substantial pay days.

who knows if Liddel steps up his game he might be good enough to make Lesnar money someday.

oh yeah and backhand to the face of sakaraba, you think he would have made at least 50g's.
and for the record Royce is the most overpaid fighter in MMA, legend or not.

Liddell is making a lot of money, PPV bonuses and sponsors.
Royce is not overpaid, this fight with Sakuraba was probably ratings draw in Japan.
Also, Sakuraba will get his money in Japan, like a lot of K1 guys get's.

Royce has worldwide selling power, Sak only has drawing power in Japan, Sherdog, and with MMA diehards. The way it is and I don't like it either
