Kimbo vs. Collosus (FIX WAS IN!)

Collosus had side mount and was stood up by Miragliotta. He then took Kimbo down again, took another dominant side mount position and Miragliotta again was threatening and itching to stand him up. Then in the 3rd round we all saw what happened; Miragliotta called the fight way too early. Kimbo was obviously exhausted and Elitexc wanted to protect their franchise star. He probably would have won anyway but to see that type of corrupt boxing stuff infiltrate its way into boxing is a sorry sign. I'm very worried about what happened tonite. You can say what you want about the UFC but I've never seen anything like that. The UFC is not afraid to let the fight come out anyway it will. I'm very dissapointed in Miragliotta tonite. His reputation is going to take a beating. And it should. It's MMA. And in MMA when someone has a dominant sidemount position there is no reason to stand them up. It's that simple Mr. Shaw. That was a disgrace. It's too bad.

wow......well lets see ...he had positions but did nothing with them for nearly a minute so it got stood up, and Kimbo ripped thompson apart just before the stoppage ...after that last punch James's legs wilted and his hands dropped ...the only thing left if the the referee didn't step in was 2-3 unblocked punches to end the fight.

It was a complete joke starting from Carano's weigh-in.

The doctor fails to give Smith his full five minutes before calling the fight.

Dan stands up JT and Kimbo while JT is in side mount.

JT gets rocked and still throws a punch that just misses and the fight is stopped.

These are the times that I wish guys like Shaw had the balls to come on a forum like this and witness what an actual fan thinks of this garbage they tried to pass off as legit MMA.

Boo hoo! Wahhh! Pay attention to more than just Kimbo's fight. Lawler and Smith got stopped early too. Ref and Docs were being too cautious, and besides there were some nice fights.

I think everyone is in agreement that some shenanigans is going on, I think they have been doing this all along with earlier events, but tonight they took it to a whole new level. I hope that EliteXC gets taken off CBS, It almost felt like I was watching wrestling.... I feel bad for some of the fighters; Smith, Lawler and James Thompson all did great but damn wtf is going on....

There is no way that anyone can watch that fight and not come to the conclusion that Miragliotta was making unusual impacts that aided Kimbo. I was very impressed with Miragliotta in previous fights, but this fight was a travesty. Kimbo probably would've won, but the fact was that there was an unfair element to the fight.

Miragliotta doesn't work for the EliteXC he works for the athletic state commission you tit, he's independent.

Please take note of this. This isn't Japan. It isn't Pro wrestling. There may have been pressure from CBS and FCC to keep it as clean as possible, but the ref works for NJAC.

James did well. Unfortunately, he got unlucky and the fact that it was a work was pretty clear at some points. I'd like to see James get the same kind of treatment Kimbo gets. He could be a huge star for EliteXC if they brought him up slowly.

That doesn't mean he wasn't paid under the table to fix the fight. Anyone who watched it knows that the ref should have not stood them up. Kimbo and thompson did alright though, even though it was clearly shady business going on.
