I like Ken, but I think he's wrong on this one. Of course people here pick that one comment and try and paint Ken as an idiot for it when the rest of the interview went very well.

I'd be more than happy to ban elbows in favor of kneestrikes on the ground but saying that elbows causing little damage is simply asinine. fedor has never one-punch ko'd someone- by that logic, his punches don't do much damage.

I forgot to mention this previously: My main point when I posted on this thread was to say that Ken is actually a pretty cool guy that always has time for his fans. He is a decent guy and friendly to boot. He is an icon in mma and pancrase. that should not be discounted and all that...anywho, have a wonderful evening. Im hauling my old ass to bed. Had a friggin fitness test for the Border Patrol today that beat my ass. Peace

I share your (and everyone else's frustration) at fights that end due to cuts but these tend to happen by knees or punches more than elbows. I also share your distaste for the shit Ken gets on these boards. Though a shadow of his former self and the game has blown passed him, he helped build the house every modern fighter trains in and he should be respected as such.

So you want to ban STANDING elbows?

Also, in regards to your Florian hate, I'll grant you that the elbow he got Leben with was intended to cut more than anything else. He aimed right for the eyebrow. However, the one he got Karalexis with was just beautiful close quarters Muay Thai striking. He didn't just cut Karalexis, he nearly ripped his nose off his face. That was as legit a standing elbow as you will ever see.
