thats true, but then again most things in mma are designed to . I mean, why aren't you pissed off at tapping out? Tap outs lead to the fight ending , too.
the point is from the point the other guy taps, say from an RNC, one then extrapolates what happens next if the fight went on. What is that? They would die.
What about an arm bar? Well the idea is once you have broken your opponents arm, they will have such a ridiculously hard time stopping you from doing whatever else you want, that it is a given you will win that fight.
What about elbows? The idea of blood stoppages is that once the fighter cannot see, it is a given that the other guy is going to win the fight.

Recently met Ken. Great guy. MMA pioneer. Nice as hell and for the most part, pretty humble. Its kind of funny how those guys that didnt train the way he wanted them to got their asses beat or just completely drop their careers. Ken schooled the great Bas Rutten not once, but twice. Lay off the dude. There is a bunch of hate on here by people that dont know who or what they are talking about and jump on the latest bandwagon. The fact that that clip is at least a couple of years old means nothing I guess. And he is right about elbows. Knees have the KO power, yet they are not allowed to the head on the ground. Elbows serve only to cut and potentially stop a fight due to a severe cut. As far as damage, they really dont do that much. I wouuld rather see knees to the head while on the ground than elbows. It seems that when a fighter seems to be out-muscled or what have you, they turn to elbows to try to get the quick cut and win. I am rambling on now, but you get the point.

Eye gouging has its range.
Small joint manipulation has its range.
Krav Maga style strikes to the groin with the exclamation point being the ripping of the testicles from the body...has its range.
These are all illegal, and dont cause knockouts. They do, however, lead to being knocked out by a power shot you dont see coming. Should we validate these as well.

Im with you. I cringe everytime I see Wanderlei winding up on Fujita with those damn kicks. Something tells me Shogun was going to spin out of the takedown by Coleman and line one up right upside the head. But then the whole broken arm thing happened and seriously damaged his opportunity to perform said kick. Anyway...i miss those damn things.

wow did you shoot for the moon and miss with that. you forgot a shovel- a shovel to the head will get your attention elsewhere.
elbows dont equal an equivalent setup the way eye gouges, groin strikes, etc do in street fights.
