IFL sellling more tickets
The IFL sold out last night's Vegas show ( http://ifl.tv/Press-07June16-IFL-Las-Vegas.html) and came close to selling out the show in Seatle, (just shy of 7000). Hopefully this implies that they are doing better financially.

Actually It is a great accomplishment for the IFL to sell out in Vegas. That is UFC country. I am sure the UFC went out of there way to try and keep the IFL out of Vegas. They control most of the local media and gyms.

NOT REALLY IF THE VENUE SEATS ONLY 3200. Don't forget the venue had to be switched because it was orignlly supposed to be somewhere in reno in a venue that held over 7,000. i do think this new shift in booking smaller venues is going to help long term though. its all about baby steps although they do have the unfortunate position of being a public company and investors may not be patient enough to wait. I think the next show in NJ at continental airlines center, which can hold up to 19,000 will be a big test for them.

Hopefully after the near sellout in Everett, they come by more often.

If it wasn't for the team concept and the overall quality of the fighters, I'd really enjoy the IFL.
I'm not trying to be funny--I really like the presentation, commentary, production, I just don't think the team concept (do they score decisions, subs, KOs, TKOs all the same towards the team score?) makes much sense for MMA and most of the fights I've seen have been really sloppy. Oh, and some of the refs (locals, I think) are awful.

I can understand if you don't like/get the team concept. But to say that the overall quality of the fighters is bad, you are wrong. I have said multiple times, and I stand by it, the quality of fighters in the IFL is comparable to the guys on TUF. Which is open to interpretation. But I think it is a pretty fair comparison. I can only think of 1 or 2 guys from TUF that could beat anyone from the IFL in their weightclass, and I can think of quite a few guys from TUF that would lose to every guy in thier weightclass in the IFL.
Imagine a TUF superstar team vs an IFL superstar team.
--------TUF------------IFL----------
155 Stevenson----Horodecki
170 Koscheck-----Helano
185 Grove---------Radach
205 Griffin---------Matyushenko
265 Evans---------Rothwell
I'm not saying the IFL team would win, but I don't think they would get swept, and that is more than you can say for most other orgs. All of the guys on that TUF list are top 5-10 in thier weightclass, and I don't know if any org outside of Zuffa/Fertitta ownership could make a roster that could beat that IFL team.

I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree, because I think with the exception of Evans vs. Rothwell (which isn't a fair comparison since Evans is a lhw, even though he won TUF at hw), the UFC team would absolutely work the IFL team.
