IFL rules (re: Law Vs. Ronin)

Did my eyes deceive me, or did I witness both a knee to the head while Newton was in the 4-points, followed by a good old-fashioned soccer kick?

I thought these were no-no's in the IFL?

I might be mistaken, but that kick was more like a stomp to Newton's abdomen. Those knees did look like they hit Newton on the head, but neither the ref or Newton made any mention about them. They could have hit his shoulder.
