It appears that DREAM is gonna be the next big thing for MMA in Japan, just given the players involved at the top, the sponsors, the existing stable of fighters, etc etc. It makes me wonder if these big name guys who signed with WVR are kicking themselves for not having waited a while longer in order to sign with the bigger promotion.

I'm sure there's a possibility of cross-promotion, and outside of Gomi, I really don't know if any of these guys are signed long term, so perhaps its a bit of an over-reaction.

If Dream becomes the true successor of Pride, these fighters will probably make their way back to it eventually.

I dont know if the WVR show is a one time thing, but I think it might, since theres rumors pride staff is helping with that show to. To be honest I expect after that show, they join dreams.

The reason the mw gp for dreams was held off is cause misaki owns akyiama a rematch.

K-1 Tanigawa was pretty upset at the event since he wanted misaki on the march dream show, but I think the pride staff is mediating it. I wouldnt be surprised if WVR just goes to dream.

M1 already said they would let fedor fight there. I think M1 should go back like they did with pride and produce shows in russia, and lend there big fighters like fedor to japan to make the big money.


I really think and hope it all ends up in dream because the japanese mma community needs to be united to spark mma in japan again.

Are the WVR contracts exclusive? If not, they can fight in dreams.

I'm almost certain Barnett only signed a one fight contract. So hes not committed beyond his fight with Yoshida. So he can sit back and decide which org he rather be with after that fight.

they will have to cross promote, and wtf is going on with m-1 there takeing way to long to get fighters signed they have nothing but back to subject, i think Wvr is going to be very sucsesful and hopefully they will be able to get something going with k-1 and come to america or CANADA, we proved we can hold the big shows here and sell it.

I hope K-1 Dreams has Pride-esque rules. Or at least Yarennoka rules.
