I was in there a couple weeks ago and got to watch as someone was trying out for Team Shamrock. Pretty impressive and crazy the shit they had him do. They pushed him to his breaking point physically with the pushups and situps and squats and the such and worked him just enough to see where his heart was and how it mixed with his technique and skill. Pretty impressive to watch. The dude made the team and was pretty emotional afterward!!! Good stuff to witness. If you have ever been to a Shamrock seminar or been to his gym you would know its worth it. Yeah $1,000 is steep but you get to live in a new condo with everything you need and work with the best. This is not some dorm room crappy sleeping arangments type stuff. Well worth it i think.

Yeah it was pretty cool. They started him off doing cardio heavey!!!!!! Then put the gloves on right away and he goes againts a boxer they brought in for like 5 minutes. then more of the situps, pushups, squats then they put him againts a grappler for 5 minutes i believe and the guy is constantly moving from one sub attempt to another, then more of the conditioning, then in againts a kickboxer who goes pretty fucking hard. (by this time the recruit is pretty tired and his legs are getting worked). More conditioning that anyman, no matter how strong could barely get through. Right away he has to go 5 minutes againts Brian Ebersole at full speed full MMA!!!!! The poor guy had very little in his gas tank as all these steps are one after anohter with minumum rest. Im talking about guys helping him take the boxing gloves off and throwing him on the mat with the grappler and then lifting him up off the mat and throwing kickboxing gear on him and pushing him in againts the kickboxer and then helping him take off the kickboxing gear as fast as they can and throwing on the MMA gloves and giving him one last push to the center againts Brian. Pretty crazy because really its just a test of your heart and will to fight and fight no matter what.
Not saying a 1 week camp will be like that, that was a guy who walked in and wanted to join the Shamrock team. But what you will get from Shamrocks gym i beleive is worth it.
