I still find it unlikely they would lie about a medical condition, either way if he was Hep positive the strain wasnt one that would have ended his career anyways.

Apparently Goodridge was scheduled to fight somewhere else in CA that same weekend. So he passed all his tests on time.

This is pure speculation, and I am the only one to suggest this, but suppose you are T-Shirt Guy, and a day before Alex fights on TV you discover that Alex has a swastika tattoo, which he does. Do you let him in the ring? I say no, and there's no fucking way Alex ever fights in America as long as he has that tat. If he were really a Nazi he wouldn't have signed with a Jewish manager, Vadim Finkelstein, but that won't placate some people.
Given the conflicting stories it is perfectly reasonable to speculate what really happened.
