Or, Fedor could just walk out there, put Tim down, and keep him there. I don't know why, I just feel weird about this one.

im sorry, but i dont see this as a even match up at all
not to bash tim, but no way is he the caliber of Fedor.
I think this match up is a gimmick of names for the causal MMA fans
I have no weird feelings about this one at all, because anyone who followed fedor knowshis skill and what he can do
Tims strong points dont over come Fedor at all.
i see this going one way the whole time and not being pretty
Maybe im wrong and wil have to eat my havoc hat
but i truly doubt it

I truly hope you are right.
edit: forgive my ignorance, but is this fight in a ring or a cage?

He is pretty amazing. It is almost unreal how sometimes it looks as if he is about to land on his back and at the last second his hips turn and he's the one on top. He's got great core strength and mobility not to mention next to no weaknesses throughout the rest of his game.

His only weakness is that if he gets caught he will go down. Can Timmy catch him? I don't know. Fedor just doesn't have the genetic freak hard head like BJ or Rampage.

I'm pretty sure its in a cage, not 100% sure though.
If its in a cage its going to be a long night for Tim. I know Tim has more experiance in a cage but Fedors style works well with the cage. Just imagine the pounding Tim is going to get when hes pressed up against the cage and Fedor is also allowed to use elbows.

He by no means has a glass chin though. He also does an amazing job at not getting hit.

Sprawling is pretty useless against upper body takedowns, which are initiated from a clinch position, and like you said, Fedor has only ever used 2 single-legs.

You say that but Fedor's never been dropped, even in the Fujita fight when he took a broadsword to the head (which would have dazed ANYONE) he came to his senses quick enough to initialise a clinch and allow Fujita to take him down so he could recover.
It's not as if he hasn't faced Heavy hitters either, CroCop, Hunt even Hong Man Choi.

Yea, I don't think Timmy is worried or training for Fedor shooting, it's never been his style. Fedor's body locks and throws are formidible and obviously very hard to stop as he's taken down some very dangerous opponents that way and Tim had some trouble with Randy doing the same thing. I suspect that Fedor is working a lot on his trip takedowns as well since that's one of the obvious thing to do with someone who's center of gravity is so much higher than yours.

He also trains to be able to take the punch, be rocked, and still fight back...
