Fedor didn't beat Schilt and Choi with strikes.
I actually got a chance to rewatch Crocop/Fedor on FSN last night and all you people saying Fedor is the most techncal striker in MMA are full of it.
The guy throws big crazy arm punches, he hit Crocop repeatedly and never managed to drop him. Many times when he'd throw, he'd drop his opposite hand and leave himself wide open. At tmes his shots were so wild that he was totally off balance and actually fell into the ropes several times. Watch the fight again before telling me I'm wrong about this.
I had actually totally forgot that Crocop actually hurt Fedor pretty badly in that fight with a straight punch. IMO, Tim has some of the best straight punches in MMA with another 40 + pounds of weight behnd them than with Crocop.
Ths is VERY relevant to the Tim Sylvia fight. A striker fighting like Fedor did versus Crocop... thats Tims game. If Fedor fights like that against Tim, I really think he gets KOed. If Fedor throws those wild punches and misses as he did with Crocop, Tim will beat him. Tim, unlike Crocop can throw strikes backing up.
