Too many ignorant posters, but some of them make this board worth reading. Followed MMA from it's birth, seen every Pride, UFC, most K-1 & other variants. Fedor is special because of his mindset and approach to fighting. This is what sets him apart, other than cat-like reflexes, incredible speed, balance ....the list goes on. He is not the most imposing physical specimen, but he really does not care. He is simply the best complete fighter yet in MMA.

Anderson Silva is a great technician, but at 205 Fedor would thow him around like a rag doll. Check how Fedor has manhandled truly huge opponents in past fights.
Some of you knuckleheads that thinks the UFC circus is the greatest thing since sliced bread are really tiresome. The UFC has some good fighters in spite of itself. Nothing more. I find it funny as hell (hypocritically) that Dana White thinks Kimbo is not fit for the mighty UFC. He is perfect! Hopefully Fedor will never fight for the UFC. He has too much class.

Fedor is the Achilles of our time, and, he does not seem to have been held by his heel when he was dipped in the well of invincibility.

Funny, could be said for the entire UFC heavyweight division. The carnage would be truly impressive if the UFC still had it's original tournament format. Imagine Fedor fighting 3 or 4 guys in one night. I'm smiling thinking about it. Dana White must be having a nightmare right now...

I watched affliction with 8 or so other friends...the place was in an uproar of excitement after the AA/Rothwell match, we didnt think it could get any better than that but shit did we get a suprise. Everyone was on the edge of their seat when Fedor came out, and after the ass whooping he put on Sylvia I've never heard so many "holy sh*t!", "God daaaaaam!" and "OMFG!"s in my life lol.

That was probably the most intense 36 seconds or whatever i've experienced watching a fight as an MMA fan and huge props to Timmy too, I am a big Tim fan and found it awesome how respectful he was in defeat.

I really think that the crass commercialism of the UFC has sort of lowered my expectations of what MMA can be when it rises to the occasion.
