Icon14 Taking care of no 1

Is Gina Carano taking care of no 1? Answear yes she is. And there is nothing wrong with that. Smart move in a hard cold world. Going out and making some money on your looks and siezing opportunity when it knocks, hell yeah. Why die poor and broke? She did rack up a 12-1 record in Mauy Thai. She is a fighter. Maybe not the best in MMA. But we will find out for certain how serious and how good and all that on May 31st.

for the most part, a woman's looks are more important than anything else she can do, unless you are a white collar executive, in which case its a close second - and ugly chicks will always hate on the hot one - shes the star and they should build her up with cans and then we can all laugh when she has her comedown - the usual

Icon12 other fighters

Do I feel bad for other fighters like Tara Larosa and Shayna Baszler who not getting the chances Gina is getting? Oh hell yeah! I feel very bad for them. It is not fair in any way shape or form. There are fighters out there who have busted their ass and are way better than Gina. But they are not getting the chances all because of their looks and probably no slick manager representing them. Its a damn dirty shame. I do not know what to tell you at this point. Life is not fair. But then you all know that better than me.

But that's just the fight game. If you're a fighter, you understand how badly politics really do play a part in this sport. If you train with the right trainer, you've got a freeride to the UFC (KOTC, Elite, whatever), but if your trainer isn't liked, you're fucked. End of story.

One of my teammates just tried out for the IFL, Ken Shammy's team. He spanked the guys at 168, and when he refused to get a shamrock tattoo (He's Polish, why the fuck would he get a shamrock), they told him they would consider keeping him on as a consultant. That's the kind of bullshit you have to deal with as a fighter if you aren't in with the "right" people.

It's not fair, and it sucks, but that's how it is bro.
