Oh im sure,The most important part of the business goes on behind the scenes,That being said I truly dont believe Kimbo is the type of fighter that's gonna push mma to the next level or draw a new set of fans....Almost everyone I know that are new mma fans are only concerned with kimbo & knock outs,They can care less about what goes on on the mat...All they wanna see are knockouts which is of no consequence BUT when they go calling Kimbo the future & the best in mma(i.e gary shaw) that's where it stops with me.

No they don't.

First of all, EliteXC doesn't own anything other than EliteXC. Their parent company, ProElite, owns KOTC, Cage Rage, ICON, and a piece of SpiritMC.

Strikeforce is an independent company that did some co-promotion with EliteXC. There have also been rumors that since Strikeforce is now on NBC, that bigwigs at both NBC & CBS have killed any future co-promotion between the two companies.

Yeah it really is!!! they need to look at long term and not short term financial gain! In the long run they would be making more money in the UFC. But they want to get paid BIG amounts for one fight in an org that will probably only last 1 or 2 shows, AFFLICTION!!! AA and Tim. Sooner or later, they will realize that leaving the UFC was the biggest mistake they ever made. Ubless they wnat to go to Dream and fight in Japan for the rest of their careers, or go crawling back to the UFC. TITO are you listening??? Dont leave UFC!!! Randy figured that out, by the time his suits with UFC are over, there might not be no where else to go fight!

Oh and the President for Pro Elite resigning doesnt bode well for Elite XC!!1 Kinda wiered that he resigns after all these rumours of them going belly up surface, dont you think.?

The only difference is that both the UFC & SpikeTV bet the farm on TUF, while EliteXC is the only one betting the farm on 'Primetime'.

Spike was on the brink of getting dropped by cable providers due to their pitiful ratings. TUF was their last ditch effort to make a grab at the 18-35 year old male demographic that they had promised to management when they switched formats. If TUF had failed, chances are that both the UFC & SpikeTV would be out of business.

CBS, while struggling to keep up with it's network brethren, is in no danger of going out of business. They don't have nearly as much invested in EliteXC as SpikeTV had invested in the UFC. If EliteXC fails, CBS will just move on to something else. If TUF had failed, Spike was going out of business.

The UFC & SpikeTV were true partners. EliteXC is nothing more than a expendable content provider to CBS.
No they were not true partners.Spike did not pay for any of the production costs of the 1st season of TUF. UFC did. Spike is also owned by Viacom which is owned by CBS, they were not going anywhere. They would just have to regroup.

Viacom wasn't going anywhere, but they were about to punt SpikeTV.

Spike had been a horrendous failure since switching from 'The Nashville Network' to 'The National Network' to 'The New TNN' to 'SpikeTV' in the span of about three years. Their original programming had flopped (anyone remember Stripperella & the Joe Schmoe Show), their only ratings draw (the WWE) was in the final year of their contract and in serious negotiations with USA, and cable providers were on the verge of dropping the channel.

Viacom was ready to cut to bait on the channel until the TUF boom hit and turned everything around.
