It's amazing how much Elite XC is blatantly protecting their poster boy. They know without him they pretty much have no draw to the noob MMA fans and vet fans know their talent isn't on par with other orgs. Brett Rogers is undefeated, but hasn't beaten any high level talent. Shows how highly they think of Kimbo.

why do you think the hw title fight was shown on showtime and not on cbs. they dont want fans saying "how come kimbo isnt the hw champ? if he's that good?" or the fans to say "lets see bigfoot fight kimbo." because elite knows bigfoot would crush kimbo.

I can't wait to see Kimbo get demolished and embarrassed (again) in his next fight!

When did you meet him and how was he acting?

If Slice gets Dave Herman, it'll be worse. He'll at least have a chance trading initial with Rogers.

Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner. They've got to have Kimbo fight 3 or 4 more times against Bo Cantrell/Tank Abbot/James Thompson types and rake in some more cash before they feed him to a guy like bigfoot.

Kimbo always has a punchers chance because of his power. But what I'm tired of is these idiots running around the forum talking about how Elite XC is so smart for not having him fight talent. This is a stupid move. For one, any new person to this sport is going to wonder real fast why the hell Kimbo isn't fighting for the belt real soon. And secondly, they're going to wonder what the hell is going on with him when he gets gassed after the first round and has no ground game at all. Lastly, a lot of newbies get brought into this sport by others who have been watching this sport for a few years. They're going to let them know what the deal is with Kimbo, and Elite XC is going to end up looking like the tools they are. Eventually this guy is going to have to fight someone who has respectable skills.
Their best bet is to toss Kimbo a fight he probably won't win against a decent fighter, and if he loses they can start a fresh PR campaign and continue his "risen from the gutter" sob story. It's a win win situation for them whether he wins or loses.

This is great self marketing by Brett Rogers, he knows Kimbo is over hyped and he sees this as his big opportunity to be "the guy" who beats kimbo. If Elite XC doesent give him the fight right away he will continue to trash talk Kimbo every chance he gets until he is finally given it. Since he will most likely beat Kimbo Elite XC will probably toss kimbo away like he was nothing to them and claim that Brett Rogers is the new greatest heavyweight alive! Thus Rogers becomes the new Elite XC poster boy.

Kimbo will never really be a serious force in this sport, no matter how much time he plays around in Bas's gym.....He's 34 years old, and missed the boat a long time ago, at trying to become a serious, world class champion.
Who the hell enters into this sport at 34 years old, with no real training backround at all, and thinks that the'll be abe to successfully compete against fighters in the top 10, that have been training for most of their lives.
He's a novelty act that draws attention, because of his marketing image based on his home videos from YouTube, and has been given monikers such as..."The Internet sensation" and, "The Backyard brawler"...yadda, yadda, yadda... bla, bla, bla.
I give Kimbo some credit for being creative enough to try and gain notoriety, and popularity, by using his home video beatdowns on YouTube as his "credentials" to enter into the Pro-fight world.
Elite XC basiclly needed a gimmick, and Kimbo happened to be in the right place at the right time, and has become really more of a celebrity than a hardcore MMA fighter.
As long as Kimbo is very very carefully matched, he will be able to continue to enjoy some success as an entry level fighter, but for those who still think that he is gonna become a world beater......Well, Your gonna be in for a serious disappointment as soon as he's matched against some real competition, and get's himself hurt.

Well said. I say that in the interest of shutting these people up, Elite XC should give Kimbo a set fight progression. He'll start out with Eddie Sanchez who's a brawler like him. If he makes it past that, then gets a better striker in Brandon Vera. If by some miracle he makes it through Vera, they give him the Lesnar treatment and lock his ass in the cage with Mir. He'll never return.
I do want to reiterate though that I don't hate the guy because it isn't his fault they do this to him, but that still doesn't make me want to cheer for him.
