Yeah, great idea! Throw their poster boy who started training a year ago and has had 3 pro fights against a knock out artist who's been fighting for years and ended 6 of his 8 fights in the first round.
Now *that* is how you build and sell a guy. Just ask Dana "Hey Brock, go fight this jiu jitsu wizard" White.

Someone needs to make a poll asking if fans wanna see Kimbo vs Brett and then send the results to EliteXC in a sarcastic email.

Kimbo is their money maker, so it's not a surprise that they do whatever they can to protect him.

True, but I think one of the other posters said it the best. Brand new fighters need to be eased into this game, but that also means you don't hype them as the best HW striker with a decent ground game. Dana at least put his money where his mouth is, and Brock actually showed promise against Mir. Yeah everyone knew he was gonna lose, but he showed promise. Now he's got Herring to worry about. At least Dana isn't talking about how good this guy is and then sending him out there against washed up and no name fighters. Elite XC either needs to shut its mouth or give him a real fight.

It's amazing how much Elite XC is blatantly protecting their poster boy. They know without him they pretty much have no draw to the noob MMA fans and vet fans know their talent isn't on par with other orgs. Brett Rogers is undefeated, but hasn't beaten any high level talent. Shows how highly they think of Kimbo.

Why would they put an inexperienced fighter like KImbo up against much more experienced fighters at this stage? Hes a money maker for them but both Elite Xc and Kimbo acknowledge he is only a baby in the sport. They are marketing his potential why squash it by rushing him in.

Trust me the true MMA fans want to see this fight, its a good legit test for kimbo, but elitexc wouldn't know what the fans want anyway.

Whats with all of the Kimbo hate?
Kimbo isn't ready for Rogers yet, give him 2-3 more fights and then let them go.

Elite XC can protect Kimbo all they want. But Kimbo is a dickhead. I reserved my opinion of him before and even felt bad about all the heat he was getting from people...but after having a chance to meet him in person and watch how he acts off camera...my mind has been made up.
I can't wait to see Kimbo get demolished and embarrassed (again) in his next fight!
