Elite XC protects Kimbo again
This is hilarious. Lappen of Elite XC was quoted as saying he isn't sure if fans want to see Kimbo vs. Brett Rogers. For those of you that missed it, Rogers called Kimbo's performance "garbage" at a post fight press conference and stated he wanted to fight him.
It's amazing how much Elite XC is blatantly protecting their poster boy. They know without him they pretty much have no draw to the noob MMA fans and vet fans know their talent isn't on par with other orgs. Brett Rogers is undefeated, but hasn't beaten any high level talent. Shows how highly they think of Kimbo.

They may give them both another fight before they fight eachother..
They just may want to build up the rivalry/anticipation so when it DOES happen it will be huge..
Watch them Mouth eachother at the NEXT EliteXC show...

Yeah and most likely we won't see Gina vs Cyborg either on Oct 4. Gina most like will fight Kelly Kobald and Kimbo will have another warm up fight before he'll get Brett Rogers.

Yeah I can't believe this.. The exact quote from the front page article: "“I’m not sure if that’s the fight fans want to see right now,” said Lappen following EliteXC’s second CBS-televised event Saturday."
Now after the JT fight I was positive we would finally see Kimbo fight somebody who wanted to whoop his ass.. Brett wouldn't go down like the others Kimbo fought, and apparently Lappen knows this. I can't believe they are doing this again. They want him to maybe fight Dave Herman.. Wow.. Great fight.
I'm almost positive that everybody on this site would love to see Brett vs Kimbo.
Another waste of a fight, another protected fighter.
Kimbo is actually a man, who fights for a living, who isn't scared to fight, so why keep handing him uninspired fights?
So they can stick him in the main event and call him the most devastating internet sensation fighter guy ever? So they can try to build up a fighter who still has much to prove?
I didn't wanna believe they were going to protect him, but I guess so.

Yeah, it gets more pathetic by the day. Who the hell doesn't want to see Kimbo fight a real opponent? Not to mention a guy who is as fed up with this stuff as the fans are. If this fight ever does happen I will be rooting for Rogers all the way. I know it isn't Kimbo's fault since he doesn't make the fight arrangements, but until he beats someone decent I can't cheer for him.
