Do Fedor's opponents get weaker after losing to him?
Firstly this isn't a post that is trying to discredit Fedor. This is about whether Fedor's opponents get weaker after facing him. A fighter is likely to have peaked when they get a chance at Fedor and thus would naturally get worse, but do you think the loss to Fedor also plays a part in making a fighter weaker afterwards?
Kazuyuki Fujita: Nearly KO'd Fedor and has soundly lost to every top fighter he's faced since, even losing his 'iron head' status.
Kevin Randleman: Nearly killed Fedor but has lost most of his fights since.
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira: Lasts to a decision twice against Fedor but he gets his first TKO at the hands of Frank Mir of all people.
Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic: One of Fedor's claims to greatness is beating Cro Cop by decision and we all know what happened when Cro Cop went to the UFC.
Wagner "Zuluzinho" da Conceicao Martins: 3-0 and very hyped heading into fight vs Fedor. Now he's a complete can.
Mark Hunt: Was doing well before the Fedor fight and even for several minutes of his long-lasting round with Fedor - mounting and nearly submitting Fedor. Since then he's lost three in a row under two minutes, including an 18 second KO to a much lighter fighter which blemished his strong chin record, and a loss to another much lighter fighter.
Matt Lindland: Two fights after his submission loss to Fedor, he suffers a quick KO to Vitor Belfort to end a long succession of fights where he hasn't looked weak.
Andre Arlovski: Ranked #2 HW before and after his fight with Fedor. Then KO'd even faster vs the unranked Brett "The Grim" Rogers.
Tim Sylvia: Well in the top 10 before his 37 second loss to Fedor. Now he get's finished even faster by an old boxer, who was finished by Kimbo.
And for most of the fighters I haven't named, well it's hard to make a case for them doing much better after losing to Fedor. The best I could find was Ricardo Arona, who established his reputation after the Fedor fight, but that was well in the past.

Possibility 1: Coincidences
Possibility 2: Yes
Possibility 3: They weren't that good in the first place

If not, that is a lot of coincidences. Another argument is Fedor highlights his opponents' weaknesses, allowing subsequent opponents to implement the best strategies to capitalize on those weaknesses.

4 of those fighters mentioned above were UFC champions. 7 were top ranked. I doubt that's the case.

Its a very strange coincidence. Who knows, will see what happens to Barnett after or any other fighter Fedor beats from now on. Specifically if he fights in the UFC and beats Lesnar and Mir. I wonder if the Fedor curse, (like the cutting of Solomon hair in the bible) will take both Lesnar/Mir powers away. And then subsequently lose to a unranked or barely top 20 fighters.
We will see....
