DEEP To Open Official Gym on June 8th; Chonan, Imanari and Shinashi Will Instruct

from http://completevaletudoaccess.blogspot.com :

Quote:
DEEP Executive Office has announced that the organization will open their own official gym.

The DEEP Executive Office, led by DEEP President and PRIDE Public Relations Director and Bushido matchmaker Shigeru Saeki, has announced that they will open an official training gym. The gym, presently dubbed DEEP GYM Impact, will open on June 8th in North Shinjuku, Tokyo. The gym will run from Monday to Friday, with extended hours on Saturdays. The gym will be closed on Sundays, holidays, and on the days of DEEP events.

The gym offers resources for those who simply want to achieve fitness, as well as those who strongly wish to pursue a career in mixed martial arts. Accordingly, the gym will offer yoga and aerobic boxing, along with traditional boxing, kickboxing, jiu jitsu and mixed martial arts classes.

The classes at DEEP GYM Impact will be taught by a variety of instructors, including five familiar DEEP faces. Among the instructors are PRIDE Bushido regular and DEEP Middleweight Champion Ryo "Piranha" Chonan, leglock master and DEEP Featherweight Champion "The Ashikan Judan" Masakazu Imanari, RINGS veteran and DEEP regular Yasuhito Namekawa, Smackgirl Flyweight Champion and sambo queen Satoko Shinashi, and 2003 DEEP Lightweight Future King Isamu Sugiuchi.
I can't even imagine a young fighter coached by Chonan, Shinashi and Imanari.

"Okay... throw the flying knee!"
"Then go for an armdrag take down."
"Then transition to the toehold!"

that sounds pretty cool having Chonan or Imanari has coaches. Are we gonna see some new fighters in the near future baseball sliding?

Shouldn't you be off mourning the loss of your sambo hero?

Shut your lips son.

If you're reffering to Jiro, you're crazy. Next to Wada, Jiro is the sickest grappler in all of Japan!

Wada and Jiro represent!!!11

This just shows even more sign of growth in Japan. More and more gyms are sprouting up and now promotions are getting involved and making their own camps. Japan rules!

No, I'm not referring to Jiro. Aleksander Fedorov has died, and his instructing of Tenshin Matsumoto is the whole reason SK Absolute exists. Go pay your respects, you novice sambist.

it will be (like the K-1 gym) outragously expensive and have crazy Yakuza ties.
