aleks' career is almost certainly over. there is no way in hell an american athletic commision will approve him to fight and i highly highly doubt he could fight in japan. if i were a fighter i wouldn't even roll with him--it would put my career at risk and you can't risk your meal ticket.
i heard he tested + for hepatitis B--which is better than hep C--but still, i can't believe all fighters aren't immunized for hep B.

Why does it suck? He doesn't deserve to fight if he has a communicable disease.

at your comical lack of knowledge about hepatitis. all can be transmitted via blood (in fact the #1 method of hep C transmission is via blood not sexual transmission--needles, transfusions, etc.) and since there is a prohibitively high risk of blood flying around in an MMA fight, aleks' career is definitely in jeopardy.

Do you think it could have been contracted during his Jail time?
Just curious as i was watching an episode of House last week and they speculated some mob guy got hep in Jail because 1 type (guessing C) more prominent with gay/anal sex from a man.....I couldn't imagine someone trying to rape aleks though lol

NOBODY could possibly fight with a temperature that high.
As for his "prison time" I'll just say Aleks is the Russian Kimbo, so don't believe shit you hear about his past. It's all just hype. None of it actually happened.
I'm NOT saying Aleks fights like Kimbo fuckers, I'm saying his story according to others is complete BS. If you believe he was in Prison you probably will believe he hunts bears with a knife. I can't believe some of the shit people think is true. NOBODY fuckin hunts bears with a knife, unless it's a 2 month old cub.

You do know that the average body temperature of a normal healthy person is 98.2 degrees F, right? And any temp over 100.4 F would be running a fever. Just FYI.

hep B is not chronic.
Hep b goes away. hep C does not.
err, that is if the host themselves can clear it out of their bodies, if not, and they have chronic hep B, then they are carriers, they can be treated etc, but it stays with them.
Unfortunately we do not know if this is chronic hep B or acute. acute his career is not over, chronic, it is.

Can;t C also be transferred through blood-blood contact? Like if A guy is bleeding into one of your cuts? Cos i'm pretty sure that's a risk in MMA.

How would these "Rumors" even get started?
Is there no regard for doctor-patient confidentiality anymore?
I'm pretty sure the CSAC can't just start announcing
"So and so has AIDS"
or "So and so has hepatitis"

yeah I realize what the normal body temperature is, Aleks said in an interview he lost to I guess it was Barnett because he was fighting that night with a fever of 98.7, which is normal body temp. That's absolutely the best, worst excuse I've ever heard. LOL, dude can't own up to ANY of his losses, what a shitty fighter.
