Joe did recover somewhat and at least threw a few punches back but as soon as he went down the second time big john stopped it,, at least he gave Joe a chance

I don't think it was stopped too early. To me it seemed like Doerskon was capable of defending himself for much of the final moments. If BJM had stopped it any sooner people would be calling for an early stoppage.

That was a good stoppage. I was surprised, given Big John's recent track record, that he let Doerkson get up and try to recover.

that was a good stoppage, he gave doerkson every chance he could to recover and filho just poured it on some more and knocked him down once again and i think by that time, joe was gone, he was awfully hurt before filho dropped him again, he looked absolutely spent by the time filho finished him off

Not that bad of a stoppage. I'm sure Joe will be siding with Big John on this one any day of the week.

Not to be a dick, but anyone who thinks that was a late stoppage is RETARDED! Joe was doing a good job getting back to his feet, BJM saw that and was giving him a solid chance. It was a great stoppage on John's part, and I'm glad he didn't end it to early like many other refs would have.

I think it was a perfect stoppage any earlier it would have been too controversial

Big John was right. It's not good to see fighters injuries on tv. It's not good to MMA image.
