This kinda of keyboard hardass realworld pussy is sadly who I defend simply it reminds me of this great quote.

"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." - John Stuart Mill

They are fighting in Iraq because the worst president in the history of the United States sent them there based on lie after lie. President Bush should should not only be impeeched, but thrown in jail for international war crimes.

Sherdog.com is probably not the right forum for this sort of debate, but since you posted here I thought I would put my two cents in.

All our troops should come home immediately from a war that they were wrongfully placed in.
the facts are that is isn't that easy. America is there for the long run and they should be.

If they choose to leave beacuse a portion of there people are politically against the war they would cause more death and chaos.

It may be a bad situation but for the rest of the world, America must try to fix a problem they have started.

Thanks to all of our soldiers, past and present. A prayer for all of those who fell in battle. Right or wrong, no matter the case you fight/fought for our country. Come home soon.

From A Greatful American.

For everybody on this thread badmouthing the soldiers or trying to downplay what Ben is saying... I would like to see you spend even one month in the streets of any Iraqi city and then come back and say exactly what you have been posting. I 100% gauruntee you would think differently, even if you still do not support the war. If it is in the name of freedom or not, when we fight over there we do it for each other and we have each others back 24/7. Every little bit of support from home helps lift morale. You don't have to support the mission, but support the soldier. Many soldiers don't even agree with the circumstances as to why we are there and many realize that the immediate freedom of america is not in jeopardy, but we still fight to come back home. It is a very complicated situation over there that only part of which gets covered in the media. (usually the stuff that sells, like bombings and body counts). Thank you again Ben and salute to all of the men over there as we speak.

While I respect your opinion, I have to disagree based on a few points. First, why must the United States constantly be the police of the world only to have the world constantly remind us of how much they hate us (mostly coming from European nations). If other countries do not like the way we do things then by all means please handle all world issues on your own.

Secondly, the primary problem in Iraq is that you cannot force democracy on other nations at gunpoint as we are trying to do in Iraq. We in this country cannot handle our own problems, much less tell another country what to do. We have to solve healthcare, public schooling, the gun debate, social security, and a myriad of other problems before we can hold our political system up to the world as the one that works best.

War sucks no matter what the reason, but it is magnified when it could have been avoided altogether.

Just my opinion

We take all of them for granted, they fight and give their lives for our freedom, and the worlds security. Thank You and may God's strength be with you.
as much as i respect you for being a fighter, i don't respect the opinion that they are over there fighting for your countries freedom, the war in iraq has only ever been about securing the oil supply that iraq has, the war was started on false grounds, your president has tried to first link saddam hussein to 911 and then tried to use the wmd excuse to invade, did i approve of saddam husseins regime ,never, do i think that the iraqi people needed to take control of their own destiny yes i do, your armed forces recruits it's troops from the poorest most disadvantaged areas of your country, the former iraqi government may have a lot to answer for but the same could be said for the good old united states of america, to put it plainly you we're the last country that should have initiated the aggression against iraq, not only did you initiate war, you also went against the united nations in the process, it was never about fighting for your countries freedom, so next time you think about starting a political thread on an mma forum, think about who you may offend with that american propaganda first

One must also remember that even the American Revolution was more unpopular than it was popular and took a while to iron itself out. (Don't believe me, look it up). I'm not saying that Iraq is anything like the American Revolution, but war is not called war because its easy, fun, or popular.

Face the thruth, u cant protect your freedom by destroying anothers. They were even happier with Sadam cause its such a mass out there since USA occupied Iraq.

USA foreign politic is SUCH A CRIME. Shame on u, cause u support killing of your and foreign people for fucking OIL.
Glad to see at least one other person that isnt afraid to stand up and call it like it is.
