If Affliction gets all the HWs to support their Tshirt brand, it could possibly help them sell even more $70 (or whatever they cost) shirts. I bet the average bonehead who wears that crap cares most about HWs.

This is a great card, and I will be pimping it to everyone I know.

For a lot of fight fans, including myself, there is a degree of familiarity that leads to personal favorites taking special privilege when rating a card. For example, I'd rather watch Sokoudjou, Wand, Shogun, Arona over Forrest, even though Forrest is the contender.

Taking away that bias, the proposed Affliction card is the best ever in terms of top HW participation. 5 top 10 HWs, fighting each other. I'm not including Rizzo, although anyone who argues against him being a viable contender in the HW division is nuts. Absurd card. In terms of competitive matchmaking, it is superior in it's weight class, and in terms of star power, it's the first legit "Shockwave" style event for the US audience.
It's a GREAT card, but this kind of talk is what leads people to end up hating UFC haters.

This card is solid, but has only TWO top ten vs. top ten match-ups (IF AA gets signed vs. Rothwell.) . I give you props cause you admit your natural bias (which we ALL have, regardless of how objective we think we are) but to call this the first "Shockwave" style event is crazy.

UFC 79 had GSP vs. Hughes, Chuck vs. Wanderlei, and Soku vs. Machida. That's 3 top ten vs. top ten match-ups on one card. (Not to mention that GSP, Hughes, and Wandy were all still top 5 at that time and Chuck was top 7.) GSP vs. Hughes was a legitimate #1 vs. #2 fight, something that almost never happens.

This is a great fight card most people love the Heavyweights and this card is filled with them. Most of those fights could end up in KO and the mainstream fans love that. Also it leaves options for future match ups like Barnett vs. Fedor, Tim vs. Rizzo, if AA is fighting him vs. Fedor or Rematch with Rizzo. Now getting the people outside of hardcore fans to tune in might be a little hard. So it's really up to their Marketing team if this event is successful or not.

I'd be more impressed with the website if it wasn't made by a 15 year old who can't spell the simplest of words.
