Although I'm pumped for this card, I wonder how are they going to recoup all the money they're going to lose with this.

When I saw the "missing man" image, I immediately thought of Aleks over AA.
This is a great card, and I will be pimping it to everyone I know.
For a lot of fight fans, including myself, there is a degree of familiarity that leads to personal favorites taking special privilege when rating a card. For example, I'd rather watch Sokoudjou, Wand, Shogun, Arona over Forrest, even though Forrest is the contender.
Taking away that bias, the proposed Affliction card is the best ever in terms of top HW participation. 5 top 10 HWs, fighting each other. I'm not including Rizzo, although anyone who argues against him being a viable contender in the HW division is nuts. Absurd card. In terms of competitive matchmaking, it is superior in it's weight class, and in terms of star power, it's the first legit "Shockwave" style event for the US audience.

Everyone should buy the PPV.
Affliction stated they expect to lose money on the first show, and they are doing it for the MMA fans that have supported them for years. They are also planning 3 cards, and from then, they will see if they want to stay in the MMA promotion game, or just go back to being a clothing company.
How are they going to recoup the money????
Is selling $60-70 dollar shirts not a good way of doing that?? LOL!
How about selling personalized Affliction shirts.
Barnett, Fedor, Sylvia, Aleks, GSP, etc. I bet the MMA fans will eat'em up.
Just look at the Bernard Hopkins Executioner shirt.
