ya well i was trying to clear up that i was not fighting AA in Sept on another org. as the original rumor stated. I tried to never say if i was/was not fighting AA but most all the forum took it that way, sorry i guess.
anyway I'm excited to fight a top10 HW, so thanks for the support, peace

Good luck. I think you're arguably in the top 10 now, but a win over AA would definitely solidify that claim.

No fucking doubt at all! This fight card is looking insane if it comes to pass. I also hope Affliction has some deep pockets, because the fighters on this card don't come cheep!

So they are going to spend way more than the ufc on fighters and get way less than the ufc on ticket sales and ppv buys. I remember something from business school about how this is a bad idea.

Good luck Ben, should be a barn burner.

I hope so. It's certainly a significant fight, but I'm less convinced that it'll be a good one from an action perspective.

man, props to affliction for bringing top heavyweights together to fight other top heavyweights, all on the same card, I'm more excited about this card than any other UFC card ever.

Here is why...
Affliction is in America
Affliction has an awesome card
Affliction is titled "BANNED"
Affliction has hugesupport (from outside of MMA)
M-1 > UFC (M-1 has been around longer than M-1 Global)
Dream (=Pride) > UFC
EliteXC <= UFC (less than or equal)
250 fighters is hardly the majority of the fighters, with the growing competion from,
Dream
Affliction
HDNet
EliteXC
UFC will fall, especially when they try so hard to isolate themselves from MMA.
Dana White will just be another Don King...

UFC will not fall. It currently has 90% of the market share. Do you realize just how much of the share of the market that is? That isss huge!! It takes much more than putting on good fights for a brand to make money. How Affliction plans on recovering the costs it has tied up in the main event alone is beyond me. I'm sure it has a plan, and I am curious to see what that plan is. Up until now, like it or not, only one organization has figured out to make $ in mma, and that is b/c it bought the name and roster for roughly $2 million and had to pay fighters much less than they make now. If the UFC tried to do now, what it did 5 years ago, it probably would not work. Timing was key. The "me-too" guys like Gary Shaw and Mark Cuban will learn this soon enough.

I'm inclined to agree, but damn, UFC 84 looks really good, too. And DREAM just put on a great show. Exciting time to be a fan. I don't even miss Pride anymore.

Hmm...lets put your theory to the test
M-1 vs UFC: M-1 has 0 top 10 fighters, UFC has around 32 top 10 fighters from LW to HW
Result: UFC>M-1
Dream vs UFC: Dream has 7 top 10 fighters, UFC has around 32 top 10 fighers
Result: UFC> Dream
EliteXC vs UFC: EliteXC (including strikeforce) has 4 top 10 fighters compared to 32 for UFC
Result: UFC>Elite XC
While this may change in the future, as of right now, UFC is dominating
