Does Fedor have Nog's chin?
Nog took some really heavy shots in the Tim Sylvia fight and he didn't go out. If Tim lands shots against Fedor like he landed on Nog, will Fedor be able to shake them off as well as Nog did? I would say no. We've seen Fedor rocked before by a shot that wasn't nearly as powerful as the punches Nog took from Tim. Tim may not be able to land against Fedor like he did Nog, but if he does, I think Fedor will go down.

Fedor has a good chin but the Fujita fight shows that he can be rocked. Sylvia is one of the few guys out there with a legitimate shot IMO.

I think that punch fedor got hit by was massive, there was a lot of weight behind it as it was throw out of desperation with the whole body put into it. Fedor still didn't go down.
I think fedor could shrug off a few of tims punches, or atleast keep his head enough to grab on if he gets wobbled. But tim landing a good shot will be much harder as i dont think fedor is going to try and box with tim like nog did.

True, but when has Fedor ever taken as much punishment as Nog? I don't really think it's going to be a good measure of how the fight with Fedor would actually go. I don't imagine Fedor will stand as long with Tim, even if he is winning the exchanges.

Nogueira has been rocked a lot of times , Fedor only one time. Nogueira has been knocked down a lot of time , Fedor has never been knocked down.
I don't know why you think he has a weak chin.

He wouldnt be able to take as much punishment as Nog did but he will be able to avoid it better than Nog does.

Another big factor will be ring or cage. This may be a stupid question, but has anyone said what type of fight surface will be used? I think it could be a factor in this fight.
Tim's main advantages would be striking, cage (if one is used) and activity against top competition.
Fedors would be agression, ring (if one is used), subs, & GnP.
I'm looking forward to this fight I think even more than I did Chuck v Wand.

Why you think the cage is for the strikers? The cage do nothing except for the wrestler who like to push their opponent against.
The ring is maybe better than the cage for the strikers because you can't run like in a cage.

I never said that the cage was better for strikers.
I said that Tim would be at an advantage in striking and it would be to his advantage if the fight took place in a cage.
