For me, the appeal of Randy Couture was coming out of retirement at his age and winning against the odds.

I never thought he was the "best", but he had a certain momentum that I found inspiring.

However, after his fallout with the UFC and the subsequent soap opera that ensued, the momentum is substantially gone. Moreover, the soap opera, with all it's bickering by both the parties involved and the fans, has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I really don't give a shit about this fight anymore.

If it had happened soon after the Gonzaga fight, it would have meant something to me, but now I just don't care.

Randy is past his prime, so what if he fights Fedor. MMA is the middle of growing pains again. When the law suits get settled then we will see MMA grow into it's potential.

Even though Randy is a legend IMO he has had to have lost a step or 5 by now. I don't want to see Capt. America get knocked out again.

Since Couture vs Fedor may happen after Sylvia vs Fedor, Randy must be pissed off 'cos Big Tim's gonna soften Fedor up. Maybe that'll motivate Randy to fight Big Nog.
