10 Questions With Rob Wince (by Darrick Patrick)
Rob "The Bull Rider" Wince is a professional mixed martial artist who has appeared in organizations such as Gracie Fighting Championships, King Of Kombat, Gladiators Fighting Series, Freestyle Cage Fighting, North American Amateur Fight Series, Hammer House Cage Fighting, Wild Bill's Fight Night, American Championship Fighting, World Extreme Fighting, Ohio Cage Fights, and Chaos In The Cage.
Darrick:
What was the journey that led you to competing in professional mixed martial arts?
Rob: We had a local show in my town and I thought I would try it out.
Darrick:
Who are some of the people that greatly influenced you while growing up?
Rob: My mom and dad.
Darrick:
What brings you the most fulfillment out of martial arts?
Rob: Learning new things.
Darrick:
Any words of advice for younger individuals looking to compete in MMA?
Rob: Train with someone that knows something about the sport.
Darrick:
What does a typical training session for you generally consist of?
Rob: Cardio, cardio. Then, I do sixty minutes of grappling and forty-five minutes of boxing and kickboxing.
Darrick:
Who are a few of the people in the sport that you highly respect?
Rob: Mark Coleman, Kevin Randleman, and Wes Sims. I would not be where I am today if it was not for them pushing me. And my father-in-law.
Darrick:
Outside of mixed martial arts, what are your other interests?
Rob: Hunting and spending time with my wife and kids.
Darrick:
What is your oldest memory?
Rob: Getting the high school pole vault record my senior year.
Darrick:
Tell us something about you that most people don't know.
Rob: Probably nothing - I don't hide anything.
Darrick:
What moments in your life have you been proudest of so far?
Rob: Being a great dad to all of my sons. I have two boys alive. My twelve year old passed away on January 31st, 2007 due to The Choking Game. Until then, with Cayden I was a great father to him too.
