Who thinks the Dana vs roy angle is a work?

I dont think Dana doesnt like roy i think Roy has no marketability and he makes the final so Dana needs him to have a gimmick and his gimmick is the guy who the boss hates. So the interviews were probably done after the show was finished when dana knew evrything and had to work out how to get more viewers for the finale because the casaul fan doesnt care about roy but now he is the guy that the boss wants to keep out of the ufc so the fans will probably root for him

It's possible, but the question is, how much credit are you willing to give to Dana White?

Nah, Roy is not a likeable guy, or marketable, so Dana is not faking it.

Not a bad theory.

Personally I don't know what the hell Dana's problem is. Dana is coming off as some asshat hater for no reason. Roy's cocky? Seriously? He says this and he's got Wes Sims on the same fucking show as him? Roy seems like a decent guy to me.

The problem Dana has with Roy is that in front of 7 million viewers Roy made Kimbo look worthless.

I dont think so. He definitely told him how he felt about his performance against Kimbo, and it sure wasnt positive. whats even more funny is that Roy then calls Dana out about how hes using the strategy any fighter should use being in that hes going to be having a few fights in a short amount of time.

Hate to really use this for my first post but I dont think its a gimmick what so ever.

Listen, Dana's the boss of a Huge company. No boss likes someone who has yet to do anything for them or the company, to come in with that across cocky attitude on everything the very beginning. Everyone else has been super respectful after their fight and to the boss, no reason he cant.

I agree with Roys line of reasoning on just win, so no problems there. Just after being a manager for 10+ years just like anywhere else, you have a new guy come into your turf/territory...and even though he might be a hell of a worker, theres really no reason for all the cockyness and tryin to show off, especially if you have yet to do anything to even remotely help your company.

Just my 2cents though

roy's an idiot. i think 2 issues ago of MMA magazine and roy has an ad in there for some company sticking out his tongue and giving a big hacksaw jim duggan thumbs up... dude looks like one of the bushwackers from wwf. idiot.

dana is hating on roy because A) he knows his audience does not like roy because of the horrible fight with kimbo, and because the dude comes on the show pregnant with twins and he thinks there should be a red carpet every he goes... despite his claims to fame are fighting and losing to: arlovski, monson, and rothwell. he's fought a lot of unknown fighters, and everytime he steps in against even respectable competition, he loses.

and then B) because dana is an elitist, not that he shouldnt be, he's built the greatest fighting company the world' ever seen, but he only gives respect when guys have earned it. then he's going to cute and cheeky with dana after a joke of a fight with kimbo slice... and he's going to come up at the fight table on the last episode being cocky and saying he could beat anyone on the card. i hope big baby rapes him in front of everyone in that ring. i hope anyone does.

Dana had said when they bought the IFL library and brought some fighters in that if Roy wanted in the UFC he would have to lose weight. He isnt marketable and i dont think Dana was ever impressed with him but by putting him in the house it makes whoever fights him have some credibility, and i think Dana was hoping for someone to beat him. Also by Kimbo losing to him it keeps Kimbos stock up because he lost to a former Champ. I dont think Dana has ever liked him
