What about TUF Mexico?

Why not take the series to some other countries. It is clear that the UFC is trying to expand into Mexico. I have no idea how big the UFC is there, or even MMA, but I'm sure it isn't as big as it is in the US. So why not break into that market the same way the UFC broke into the mainsteam US market?

They wouldn't have to air the show in the US, they could even keep the US version going at the same time. But they could have the winner(s) get into the UFC, and they would become huge stars in Mexico. Look at Bisping. They could even continue this in other countries like Brazil and Japan, where they have large mma bases, but I don't know how much access they have to the UFC. This would help the UFC establish an agreement with the television companies in those companies. Hell, they might even get the UFC PPVs on network TV in some of those countries. I think it would really help to establish good income for the UFC, and keep the flow of international fighters coming in.

MMA is not that popular in Mexico yet, boxing will always be the king of combat sport over there

Kind of like the Contender? I think it would be cool but the language barrier might cause some problems and I'm not sure how popular MMA is in Mexico just yet, I know they have a few orgs out there, the main one I know about is Combate Extremo and they've got a few champs. Been running since 2000 so I'd think they would have attracted enough fighters to get something decent going.

Which actually supports the TS's point. What about the guys that never make it in boxing but still want to compete. That 3 or 4 guy that can't beat the champ. This might be a great marketing plan to expand into other countries and venues. But can you see Dana doing this?
