???

Alot of the guys on TUF already have had their share of fights outside of the UFC. Its not like they just came out of nowhere.

You have to take the chance sometimes and grab someone who's only up-n-coming sometimes. They may become a star one day. Think about it. Wanderlei Silva? back then he got dominated by Tito and Belfort, now he's the Pride MW Champ. If the UFC held on to him, maybe he would have been the UFC champ today.

Guess I'll throw my dime into the octagon. Look, I don't watch UFC to see some wussy ass grappling, I don't watch it to see fancy footwork...I watch it to see the sport that is MMA. Back in the day I loved watching shoot fighters like Tank Abbott just as much as I loved watching Gracie but today things are different...becomming more and more unified...and less and less actually MMA and more of a single, combined style of fighting thanks to all the cross-style training that takes place. I personally, don't like the change. To me the very essence of what made MMA unique is being slowly sucked away. Too much commercialism is becomming involved in the sport...it's becomming a bunch of garbage.

As one of the rare female fans that enjoy "Bloodsports," and actually knows what people are talking about when they say "tapped," "submission," "Half-Nelson," "Arm Bar," etc...I have to say it just galls the crap outta me to see some of the commercials they show. If the loss of the good fighters is about not having enough money to pay them or commercialism, then maybe they need better advertising agency because the UFC makes it's money from the commercials shown during it's airtime. Do Dana and the UFC really think that I am gonna rush out and buy a product that is being pushed by some skank in a teeny weeny outfit, slinking herself up & down a chair? Hell no I'm not!

I'll tell you what, if it's a matter of needing money to get the better fighters, here is what they should do:

It's a fact that females control 80% of all US households income, one would think that he would want to get our interest and more importantly, our money. The NFL has finally wised up and done it with thier commercials and they are seeing record profits. Dana, if you wanna make money, remove the slutty women from the tv commercials! I'm not saying put fat chicks in the commercials but if you want to move products, like Xience, let's get some real women to advertise it. Take a page from Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers and Trimspa! Those programs make tons of money because the people selling the items are beliveable. Nobody believes that a woman who slinks up and down a chair in the middle of an industrial warehouse, while covered in sweat, is drinking Xience. But when we see Liddell runing up and down a mountain we believe it...

Sorry, that I got a bit off topic but to me it's all connected...UFC is losing it's uniqeness and integrity because it's loosing it's premiere fighters. It's losing it's premier fighters because it's not making enough money to pay them what they are worth. They are not making enough money to pay the quality fighters because they are not doing good business. They are not doing good business because they are alienating the people who control the income of 80% of the homes in the US.

If you've never seen the Ultimate KNockouts 3 DVD, some dumb bimbo hosts it. She tries to act like she knows what she talking about, but it came across as SOOOO fake. In fact, it ruined the DVD. Sex didn't sell that time.

i agree with commissar I think ufc is letting go too many great fighters and replacing them with medicore fighters. plus the fight cards seem to be lacking I didnt want tito shamrock again, or griffin bonnar again or babalu and chuck again.

You young lady need to learn about marketing and demographics.

Spike TV as well as the UFC's demographics are males 18 - 35; secondary being males 35 - 55.

Women may controll the income in 80% of the homes in the US, but quite frankly they arnt watching the UFC, TUF, or anything else on Spike aside from maybe CSI.

Just because you are the exception, does not make you the rule.

Personaly I feel your entire argument is uneducated and bias.

Im sure the NFL is pinpointing housewives for their beer and penis enhancement commercials. Well maybe the penis enhancers. How about an example of that?

The UFC is doing a great job of marketing. Take a scroll around and see all the complaining abput the commercials with fighters in them. But then we see a few commercials with women showing a little skin and all of a sudden there's a lot of praise, not for the products mind you but for the commercials at least. And besides those are Xyience commercials not UFC. Now they may go hand in hand but they are not the same.

TUF is and will continue to be a good thing for MMA. Look at TUF 4. Giving a chance to UFC veterans to get some notoriety and get back in the mix of things.

After Diegos defeat of Karo, he is not only in my eyes an entertaining fighter, but also a quality high-end one as well. And he would easily submit Trigg via rnc. If he can take Karos back, he can take Triggs for sure and Triggs rnc defense is mediocre at best.
