TUF Great for the sport

TUF has done wonders for the sport and bringing it to mainstream society. I really liked this seasons twist of having to fight your way on, I think it brings the sport more talented and seasoned fighters. That is not to condem any of the fighters before them, I just feel it is a good way of getting FIGHTERS into the sport instead of the average Joes that just want to try something different or guys that won a few fights in high school and already believe they have what it takes to take it to the next level. I believe it a good way to sort out the lions from the lambs.

I think that TUF is could be a huge help if they scaled back to 1 season a year. Screw living in a house, and showing the guys getting drunk, smashing the house up......Put them in a 6 month training regiment with UFC coaches, and THEN let the prelimanary fights start. Each fighter would more than likely improve dramatically, giving better fighters and better fights. After each fighter has a couple fights, start the tournament to determine the contract winner. All the while, fighters would be training with UFC coaches. This format could be used as a somewhat "farm system." Even if my opinion is dumb to some, you can't deny that the overall skill of 50-75 percent of the fighters on TUF is barely above the common fan. How many times have you watched TUF and thought, "MAN, I could kick his ass!" The show should be upcasing future talent, not showing guys that you know have no chance of making it big-time. But in the end, I know the reason for 3 TUF's a year....ratings and dollars.

It helps. Gives fighters a spotlight they wouldn't normally get. More name recognition = more money for Fighters. Look at Josh Haynes, he was just the main event at another org.

TUF is overdone. Have one every two years or something.
