JANUARY the 11th -The production schedule begins with an opening round eliminator filmed on seperate continents.
*This dwindled the fighters down to 8 fighters per country. (half LWs and half WWs)
JANUARY the 23th - All 16 winning fighters move to Las Vegas.

"The UFC and I have had many dealings with each other and up until now the timing has been off. I was talking with them about being a contestant on the 2nd season of the Ultimate Fighter, but when a brain aneurysm was found during the medical testing portion of the interview process I was unable to participate. After my surgery a year and a half had gone by and I began training again and was offered a fight against Din Thomas but turned it down because I thought I would want to get some fights under my belt again before I tried to jump on to a stage as big as the UFC. Then, for this last season I was asked to participate in the interview process again, but as fate would have it, my wife had a major seizure and needed to have brain surgery as well. Hers was by far worse than mine and the possibility of being gone for 6 weeks to film a show wasn't even an option with her recent surgery. Luckily, we are both healthy now and hopefully you will see me in the UFC soon."
