TUF 8 Nog-Mir

I know people hate how title fights become delayed for the coaches on TUF, but is it really that big of a deal, if you look at it in a fuller sense? Right now, Nog isn't even the official champion, and by the time he is promoted up after all the Randy litigation ends he'll only be the official champion for a few months at best for the fight. Also, this allows more of the public to get to know Nog and build him some exposure with the more casual fans.

The HW division is so messed up right now, why not give them some time to sort themselves out so that after the Nog-Mir fight we have some clear cut contenders instead of just Arlovski, who may not even be staying, a 1-1 Werdum, and Herring, who's 2-2 and already lost 3 times to Nog. it shouldn't seem like such a huge loss anyways, since it looked like Mir was scheduled to fight in July and Nog didn't have anything planned at all. He still would've had to wait for a definitive contender to step up, and there really wasn't one around.

Thoughts?

I don't think there's really anyone who's asserted himself for a title shot, but if it's gotta be someone, a former champion sounds like the best option.

I like frank, and as a former champ I don't know why people are so offended he got a shot.

I think they will both be among the best coaches ever on TUF

So this is official? I think Mir vs Nog would be great. Mir's JJ vs Nog's would be an amazing matchup. I think Mir has a good chance.

although it would be a good fight, I am not really looking forward to them as coaches...

I totally agree. Mir does not deserve a title shot.

It would be awesome though to have Nog as a coach next season. But that's like a year away.Too long time, let the guy have some fights in the meantime.

In order for Frank to win he'd have to decision Nog and that is not happening with his cardio being constantly suspect.

Nog will win. Maybe not by sub, but Nog will find a way to win. Compared to Tim, Frank is a relatively easy matchup for him, in my opinion. Tim's never had a questionable gas tank.

to be honest..I'd rather see Werdum and Nog fight... and none of the above as coaches..
