TUF 5 casting call
I just got this from Kenny Florian:

TUF 5 Casting Call, 12/1/06

Here is the info for the TUF Casting call.

The UFC and Spike TV will hold an open casting call in
Hollywood, Fl. for Season 5 of the wildly popular
series, The Ultimate Fighter. This season the series
will be casting mixed martial artists in the
Lightweight (155) division.

WHEN:
Friday, December 1st at 9:00am

WHERE:
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
1 Seminole Way,
Hollywood, FL 33314
Ballroom D

WHO:
UFC President Dana White will oversee the tryouts with
executive producer Craig Piligian and Spike TV..s
Senior Vice President of Sports and Specials, Brian
Diamond.

WHY:
Season 5 of The Ultimate Fighter, one of television..s
most popular series with men begins taping in Las
Vegas in January. Over the first 4 seasons, the show
has delivered about 2 million viewers each week, often
beating the NBA, NHL, MLB, and NCAA football and
basketball head-to-head on Thursday nights with Men
18-34.

it really makes me wish I had been training 6 months ago. I would have made the 3 hour drive and bumped up a weight class for a shot at the show. Maybe we'llget a bantamweight show in '08.

What exactly does this mean for the show? I was under the impression that there were going to be a lot of established LWs on the show who had previously fought in big orgs. O well, guess theres no chance at having Genki Sudo on the show anyways.

The word I got from a source I cannot name is that it will be 8 established LWs and 8 "unknowns".
