Liddell Keeps His Hands As Low As Hamill

Hamill gets ripped on his standup constantly for not keeping his hands up around his head. Funny thing is Liddell and a lot of other great fighters have kept their hands at chest level or lower...and I doubt anybody can question Liddell's standup abilities.

This seems to be an overrated concept. A top athlete with good head movement can avoid heavy blows by good head movement. And I'll repeat...lots of great fighters have kept their hands low.

Excellent point alltho i dont feel you needed to make 7 posts about it. Keeping your hands up is not as important in mma as it is in boxing because the gloves dont protect the face as much as boxing gloves do and you have to be able to counter a shot also.

Its not bad when you can take a punch.. plus chuck is not in K-1 or in a boxing match so hes not fighting great stand up fighters .. They are mostly ground and pound.. tito, randy, jackson.. And all he has to do is hit you one time and its over... but its not for everyone.. maybe Mark Hunt..

Some of the greatest boxers ever repeatedly kept their hands around their waists.

Ali
Roy Jones
Sugar Ray Leonard
Pernell Whitaker

Head movement and ability to roll with punches.
