TUF using well-known superstars

instead of using up and comers that probably wont go very far in MMA, why not put UFC stars in the house together. imagine Rampage and Wanderlei and Liddell all sharing a room together and in the other room have Ortiz, Griffin, and Jardine. wouldnt that be sick? imagine the fights in tournament format.

Do have any idea how much money they would have to pay well established fighters to go through that shit?

That would be cool as hell if they were willing to do that.

surprisingly, that only makes the idea slightly more ridiculous than the original.

If UFC wanted to go out of business they should try that.

Well for "the comeback" (what was that, season 4??) they had some better known people. Season 2 also had a couple of more established fighters (jardine, rashad). But isn't the point of the show to help up and comers? The better guys don't need or want that kind of experience, they have their own teams and training camps (and sources of income). They really just need to work on finding better quality, undiscovered people.

The established stars have no reason in the world to embarrass themselves on TV for however many weeks it takes to film. That's a big reason they use up and comers/guys from nowhere - they're the only ones willing to put up with everything.
