New Respect for Matt

I didn't get to see anything but, the fight till tonight. I got a new respect for Matt, he didn't even tell his family about this, this Kid is got alot of heart, and I really think he wants this more than people give him credit for. He is only had two fights and those were not at pro, I think in 3-4 years with a good team (Punishment) he will be a real monster not just a wrestling machine.

IF fighting doesn't work out, he could be the next Rick Flare.

I was disappointed that Matt injured his arm and couldn't play to his strength in wrestling but I have a lot of respect for him and was glad he won the fight. He didn't give up because of the bad arm and switched up his game plan going with the stand up which I assume took him out of his comfort zone. Even so, he was aggressive the entire fight, taking it to Mike and giving his all.

I respect him but I was suprised how quickly he gassed after hearing Tito talking about how good his teams cardio was. Maybe he was dehydrated or his arm was exhausting him I dont know so i wont pass judgement yet, but he really didnt look to finish Nickels, He had so many opportunities.

How much does he drop to make weight? I know a lot of wrestlers are pro's at making weight. I wonder if the water loss caused dehydration and that's why he looked so slow. He seemed faster in practice. I'm sure nerves plays a huge part of it, I can't wait to see his next fight.

Regards,

Brian
