analyze this with me

I have watched this like 30 times over and over. If you watch the ko in slow motion, u will see a few things.

1. Sliva was ready for that leg kick. I think the distance was why. I think that is all silva gave him.

2. After Silva catches Irvins leg, irvin swings a right hook, but Silva was miles ahead of him.

YouTube - Anderson Silva wins James Irvin amazing...

what do you think?

I might also add it was a stupid attempt by irvin to take a swing with only one leg.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

That was no set up. Silva was ready to block high but with quick reflexes grabbed his leg and made him pay!

MAybe Irvin could've set the kick up with a jab instead of just throwing a kick Silva could see miles away.

But hey, I guess he saw the opening and believed he would be fine.

yeah it did look like he was ready for it but i think he thought it was going up high, kind of looks like he was going to try to block it and instead just fell into catching the leg.
