Melvin Guillard vs Dennis Siver

did anyone else see this last night?i knew Melvin had it in him,i saw a recent video interview and it seems like hes more focused now and he knows what he has to do.....if he keeps fighting like he did last night we could see him as a LW contender very soon

Siver was raped. Like, viciously.

As long as he's not doing coke...he'll always be an interesting fighter win or lose.

Isn't it odd how you can focus when you're not snorting/smoking cocaine?

Melvin has always been one of my favorite fighters- He just needs to focus and work on his BJJ a little bit and he definitely has the athletictism to be the champion one day

Me too. He and Rashad were my two picks for TUF 2.

He is scary. Commits, explodes and is extremely accurate. Reminds me of Tyson a little.

BJJ will always own Melvin, I'll say it before and I'll say it again. If they put him against a C class fighter who will stand in front of him he looks "focused". Once he starts breaking into fighting the top 15-20 155lbers he'll get clowned again. I'm sure he's still pissed that Clementi dry humped the back of his rodman-esque head after subbing him.

I knew he would destroy Siver, but I agree with the above poster.

How is Melvin any different this time than any other time he's destroyed some stiff? Unless he's become a bjj ace or something, I won't be buying any stock in the new Melvin.
