Josh v. Jesse... I pick Jesse

I'm suprized how many of you guys think that Josh will beat Jesse. Here's why:

1) Josh, despite being on Tito's team, has no cardio and was very unimpressive in his fight IMO. That fight, for the most part, reminded me of a "meet me at the park at 4pm type thing".

2) Jesse is raw; and with a wrestling background is prone to subs, but I don't really count Josh as a JJ master. Will Josh sub him? Probably not.

3) Jesse, being a good wrestler, is probably in good shape. And being in good shape has been enough to pretty much win your fights thus far.

4) I guess Josh is supposed to be a brawler... but I didn't see much KO power when he fought Tait. I also think Jesse is a pretty bad matchup for Josh. Unless he ends the fight early I don't see him winning it.

I, for one, will cut Jesse some slack. The kid has raw skill/power and potential. How many times did you guys get caught in slow armbars and triangles when you first started sparring? Plenty of times here.

Let's see how quickly he learns from his mistakes. And I don't see a huge sub threat in any of his fights from here on out. (Bisping will probably destroy him, but that doesn't matter... we are talking about Jesse v. Josh)

Dont know what you were watching, but Josh packed speed and heat with those hands. Although yes, they were inaccurate.

I hope Josh wins, for Jesse to get beaten and make it to the finals would kinda suck.

Which is why I said "I guess he's supposed to be a brawler".

But let me ask you this... How many times did he nail a gassed, out of shape Tait? And how many times was Tait close to being KO'd?

Not to mention there was nothing on Josh's punches even half way thru the fight.

Are you really saying you think Josh has "consistenly fast hands and KO power?"

What fight were you watching?

I agree with you. I hate the thought of a defeated fighter making it to the finals.

But then ask yourself this question: Would you like to see Josh against Bisping? I like Josh (seems like a cool person and a good guy), but I think Jesse will probably beat him, and I firmly believe Bisping would make him look something close to Kristian.

Not trying to knock Josh here "person wise". Just think that fighter wise he's outmatched.

I would like to see Josh against Bisping, cuz IMO Josh deserves it more. Even though I think it would be very rare for either Josh or Jesse to beat Bisping, so its kinda a mute point.

I pick Jesse. Josh was not a good fighter. I don't even think he won that fight against Tait (should have gone to a 3rd round). Jesse wasn't that great either, but against a brawler I think he could fare well.

I may be a little biased because I am not a Josh fan at all. I think his prefight attitude of sending Tait home in a casket was a little over the top for my taste.

I'd take Jesse in this fight. He is just much bigger and much more athletic.

I think it sucks how a loser might end up going to the finals, but I kind of agree that Josh vs Jesse is not a good match-up for Josh. I also was not that impressed with him in the last fight.
