I have the feeling we won't see Kimbo fight

I was at first under the impression that UFC would find a way to make sure Kimbo got at least two fights on the show. Last night as they were dicussing the possibility of it happening, I get the impression it won't. I have to think the UFC would not benifit from Kimbo if he lost twice on the show. It would be better to just salvage what's left of his reputation and find good opponents for him in the UFC.

Thoughts?

I was thinking the same thing. I think every fighter in the house could beat him and if he did lose people will finally realise that Kimbo does nott belong in the UFC or any professional fight league for that matter.

I stopped thinking he would come back when I heard he will be fighting Houston Alexander at the finale. Dont know if its true but you're right. It would benefit the UFC more to save him.

Yeah. Leaving him as frustrated at not getting another fight will be much better then having him (at best) beat James then lose again. Coz' he wont beat anyone else imo.

What I've been trying to figure out all along is why people think Kimbo automatically deserves to replace someone if they get hurt? What did he do to be first in line? He seems to think it's automatic himself and I certainly don't think he's even the best guy on Rampage's team who lost. Demico looked a lot better to me.

What you're forgetting is everyone has a punchers chance. What if he does come back, and manages to beat his opponent, that way even if he got embarassed in the semifinals, there would still be something the UFC could market - ie - willing to fight all comers, never backs down, only lost to the cream of the TUF crop and so on.

i dont get that either, even on the show it seems a given that kimbo would replace anyone hurt.

if hes fighting houston then its unlikely he'll fight again on the show, if he does then he obviously gets beat again at some point.

i think youre exactly right. even though he isnt the main even for the finale, people will be watching just because of him. two losses in the house definately cant be good.

Agreed. Demico did look alot better in his fight, but we all know that Kimbo brings the star power, so therefore........
