GSP ability to read his opponent and anticipate the right moments make his wrestling a joy to watch, and watching Gerald gives me an even greater appreciation for GSP. You never see GSP waste time and endergy on a takedown. He gets most takedowns effortlessly, if he was muscling them, it would not be nearly as effortless. GSP is a flat out executioner.

I read his blog on another site today and Gerald kept trying to hint that he got a second chance. I know he needs it. He beats Amir 9 times out of 10. Amir got lucky and that ref should have waited about 4 more seconds to stop that fight. I've met Gerald in Tulsa before and hes a really good guy. Friendly and Professional. He has a huge future in the UFC is he works more on Jiu-Jitsu.

I think he is for real. I like the guy. I think he should look at Rashad. In his fight with Amir, he looked like 100% a wrestler. He looks to be a good athlete, and I think he should focus on his stand-up, and become more well-rounded.

Amir has some heavy hands (or in this case knees), so I wouldn't go so far as to say it was luck that he won.

Harris's wrestling looked good, but he wasn't doing much damage from the top position. Nothing that was close to finishing the fight in any case.

Whenever the fight was back on the feet he was in danger of getting KO'ed. As far as the stoppage, if he indeed was not completely out of it, he should have moved to defend himself. Maybe that was inexperience or maybe he actually was on queer street, either way the ref can't be blamed for stopping it when he did.

Harris might have potential but right now I think he needs a lot of work.

That might be the biggest crowbarring-in of a GSP nuthug I've ever seen in my life.

It kinda felt like when I'm watching a porno, and the chick is bent over looking hot and everything is going fine when suddenly it cuts to a closeup shot of hairy man ass out of nowhere.

He doesn't even really need jiu-jitsu, if he just worked on his hands, both standing and GnP, he could become a solid fight-finisher and a force.

(Naturally he would need BJJ defense of course. I just meant offense)

I have to believe that this CB guy wins this whole thing. None of the fighters that we've seen fight after making it in looks impressive enough to win this thing. I have to believe its someone we haven't seen fight yet.

sorry, but alll Gerald had was takedowns/slams, and they were becoming far less effective. Amir shut him down with his guard and defense on the ground, and had much more on the feet where Gerald wanted no part of. Amir is much more overall skilled, and the right man won.
